Record EBACC Results as we enter a new era of English & Maths GCSEs
Record EBACC Results as we enter a new era of English & Maths GCSEs As we enter a new era of more demanding English and Mathematics GCSEs, which lie at the heart of the EBACC, we are very pleased to report how well our students and staff have risen to the challenge. Approaching a third of our students gained the full EBACC with significant improvements in its other constituents (MFL, Science, History and Geography). In fact over 70% of students gained at least a Grade 4 (C) in both English and Mathematics. One in six grades were also the equivalent of an A* or an A (new grades 7 to 9).
Nathan White gained 9s in English and Maths and a further ten A*/A grades; Will Green – 9 in English and an 8 in Maths with a further nine A*/A grades; Lily Bowater and Kirsten Wilkes who both gained ten A*/A grades; Ben Jones, Emma Fellows, Courtney Harris and Yasmin Patel all gained nine A*/A grades; Jacob Hyde and Chelsey Walter with eight A*/As. • A special mention to Ashley Gatt who achieved a grade 9 in English along with five other A*/A grades.
Congratulations also go to Business Studies, IT, Sport, Health & Social Care, Child Development and the single Sciences where at least 45% of all their entries were awarded an A* or an A grade.
We also thank our talented and dedicated teaching staff ~ who have worked so hard to ensure their students achieve their potential, together with their parents and carers.
We look forward to welcoming prospective parents at our Open Evening on October 3rd 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm
