Participating in extra- curricular activities will help you to explore your physical, creative, social and career interests with like-minded people. You will make new friends who share your interests and curiosity, whilst learning new practical and social skills.

At Ellowes Hall we have an extensive range of extracurricular activities that can help you develop:

  • Academic Performance

  • Improvements in Self-esteem

  • New friendship opportunities

  • Build social skills

  • Better relationships with staff

  • Improve your Mental Health and Wellbeing

  • Essential life skills – Including communication and team work

  • Great when you apply for a leadership role within school

  • Make a positive contribution to your school and community

  • Learn about long term commitments

  • Learn time management skills and be able to prioritise your time

As part of the extra-curricular programme at Ellowes we run a reward scheme for clubs, fixtures and competitions. When students attend 15 extra-curricular sessions for their Sport or activity they get given an enamel badge to wear proudly on their blazer.

We are proud of the school’s sporting reputation and students have enjoyed team and individual success in school, county, regional and national competitions. A number of ex-students have gone on to enjoy success on the national and international stage which makes us at Ellowes immensely proud:
