Pupil Premium/Free School Meals

Pupil premium/free school meals is funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils.

What does this mean for an Ellowes Hall student?

Each student who is in receipt of pupil premium/free school meals funding increases the amount of money Ellowes Hall receives to use in its budget. This can be used to increase staffing, provide funding for more opportunities, provide breakfast club provision and support families who require assistance at different times.

Why should I apply for free school meal funding? Who knows if my child is in receipt of this funding?

If you are eligible, by applying you are helping us to help your child and your family. Students in receipt of pupil premium/free school meal funding are known to the school and our staff but this information is not shared with any other person or student.
