The House system is an important part of the school life at Ellowes Hall Sports College, with a number of House events organised throughout the academic year. There are four Houses, based on areas around Gornal.  Each house has it's own badge and motto...

All students are given the opportunity to gain House Points for achievements and good behaviour across the school. Students participate in various activities throughout the school year with the aim of winning the House Trophy. The House system aims to prepare out students to succeed through our core values of:

Every student has the chance to get involved in a variety of activities, allowing them to make meaningful contributions to their House, learning to adapt and bounce back from adversity as well as celebrate success.
