Governors

Mrs G Bromley

Co-opted Governor

Mrs G Bromley

I became a parent Governor at Ellowes Hall Sports College in 2002 when my youngest son was in the 6th Form.

I am now retired from work having spent a considerable number of years working in various administrative roles 0for a nearby Local Authority in their Social Care Department.

During my time as a Governor I have been on various committees including 6th Form and Community and Personnel. I have also been training link Governor for a number of years advising Governors of training available to enhance their knowledge of the role of Governor. In my role as Governor I have also been part of the interview process to appoint new staff.

I have always enjoyed my role as a Governor and tried to attend meetings and events at the school. The role of the Governor has changed considerably over the years and now it is more important than ever that Governors receive and understand all the information and data they receive. I still however find it an interesting and rewarding voluntary role.
