A huge well done to Year 8's Madisyn who had GB squad training on Friday afternoon in Scotland ahead of the WUKF European karate Tour - 8th Kanzen Cup, Dundee, Scotland on Saturday.
There were teams from Romania, Slovakia, Italy, Ireland, Wales, Scotland & England competing.
It is a platform for athletes to compete on the international stage ahead of the European championships in Italy in November 2022. Madisyn is training to compete in the Euros.
Yesterday, She competed in individual kata & team kata and gained mat time & experience but she came into her own in fighting and was on fire.
Madisyn achieved 3 Gold Medals. One for individual ipon kumite, one for individual sanbon kumite and one for team rotation kumite (fighting).
Her next competition takes place on June 19th at the Welsh Open in Neath and we can't wait to hear how she gets on!
